How did you get started in bicycle racing?
When I was a high school student, I bought a mountain bike and started racing. After that, I started road racing too.

Tell us about your first race.
My first road race was a very small local race, but I won that race. After that I’ve been absorbed in racing.

What is your favorite memory or experience on the bike?
Living in France and going to foreign countries. I’ve met many people and made many friends.

What makes you most excited about riding for the Trek-LIVESTRONG team?
I’ll compete with many young riders on this team. It is very exciting, and the system of this team is impressive.

What is your favorite place to ride?
I like to ride along the seashore and in the mountains.

What accomplishment or career achievement are you most proud of?

I’m proud that I won the Japan U-23 Championship in 2008.
